Our farm's history with lamb began in 2007. We purchased a few grass based Katahdin sheep and a ram. We finally learned to start this process off with great genetics. This herd has had the weakest part of the farm to forage. We are amazed at the lamb's ability to maintain composition, raise a baby and rebreed on the poorest quality soil and grasses. That is why they are an integral part of the farm, their ability to turn undesirable, unpalatable forbs and grasses into exotic meat. Growing our numbers is our next goal.
