What to expect

I have some approximate calculations for amounts of meat and freezer space.  Remember, each animal is individual and amounts will vary.

Whole beef:   450-500 lbs. meat, approximately 15-20 cubic feet of freezer

Half beef:       200-250 lbs. meat, approx.  7.5 -10 cubic feet

Split quarter:  100-120 lbs.  meat, approx. 3-5 cubic feet

Whole lamb or goat:   45 lbs. of meat, approx 2 cubic feet

Whole pork:    145-150 lbs. of meat, approx.  5-6 cubic feet

Half pork:         70-75 lbs. of meat, approx. 3 cubic feet.
